Youth Soccer Coaching Games
As a coach of youth soccer coaching games and your ability to communicate clear, concise instructions to players can literally make or break your team. Their are so many attribute that make up a good coach, and all of them are needed to extract the best from your team. The philposophy that I have adopted with great success is to let the game teach the players. This means that on game day, the players do not rely on me for every instruction and move that they have to make, but through a carefully planned training schedule, the players no instinctively what to do under all situations. eg1. when attacking2. when defending3. when nobody has the ball This means that I do not have to yell or scream at players, but merely need to remind them before the game and at half time of theirr roles, and the expectation that I have a coach of their performance. I will add that my expectation of their performance is not necessarily about the end score, but more how the players performed, their commitment to the ball, their commitment to the team and their attitude whilst playing.
